1. Our Commitment (The 'Legal Bit')
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.

3. Detailed Terms
A. Kickstarter Backers (Project Funding)
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform for creative projects that have yet to come to life. Pledges made via Kickstarter are contributions to support the development of the vabsRider. As a Kickstarter creator, ataraxyBSC commits to a high standard of effort, honest communication and dedication to bringing the project to life. Backers agree and acknowledge they're not buying something when they back a project – they're helping create something new, not ordering something that already exists.
- Before Campaign End: Cancel via Kickstarter for a full refund.
- After Campaign End: Refunds are at our discretion. If approved, we refund the pledge minus a 10% administrative fee to cover non-recoverable platform and processing fees.
- Project Failure: If the project cannot be completed, we will act transparently and provide refunds proportional to remaining funds, in line with ACL "reasonable time" guarantees.
B. Pre-Orders & Store Purchases
- Change of Mind: We offer a 30-day return window (14 days for BackerKit pre-orders). Items must be in original, unused condition with all packaging.
- Fees: For change-of-mind returns, a 5% processing fee applies to cover merchant costs. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
- Used Items: For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns for saddles that have been mounted or ridden.
C. International Customers
- Local Law Override: If you are located outside Australia, you may have additional rights under your local consumer laws (e.g. EU 14-day cooling-off periods). Where our policy is inconsistent with your local mandatory laws, the local law will prevail.
- Duties/Taxes: Import duties, VAT, or local taxes paid to your government are non-refundable by us.
4. How to Claim
- Contact: Email admin@ataraxyBSC.au with your Order number/Pledge ID.
- Assessment: For faulty items, we may request photos or a short video to determine if the issue is major or minor.

- Major Fault: Your choice of a full refund or replacement. We cover return shipping.
- Minor Fault: We will repair or replace the item at our cost.
- Change of Mind: Refund processed to original payment method within 10 business days of receiving the return.
