What is a ‘virtual axis’?
Our patent-pending Virtual Axis technology allows each side of the bike saddle to move independently around a central pivot point – a virtual axis – that mimics the natural rotation of the human pedalling motion. By synchronising the saddle’s movement with your hip joints, we’ve created a biomechanical cycling solution that supports you while you cycle.
Why a split seat?
Traditional saddles force your legs to rotate around a static object, which creates friction and focuses pressure on your sensitive soft tissue (the perineum). By splitting the saddle into two independent pads, we achieve two breakthroughs:
- Elimination: We remove the saddle nose and centre panel entirely, eliminating pressure on the genitals.
- Motion: The independent sides of the saddle rotate with your legs (our Virtual Axis technology), transferring weight from your sit bones to your femurs – the longest, strongest bones in your body – allowing for natural, friction and pressure-free pedalling.
Will the vabsRider fit my bike?
The vabsRider fits most standard bicycles that meet these two requirements:
- Seat Post Length: Accommodates a length of 270mm.
- Seat Post Diameter: Matches one of our three sizes: 27.2mm, 30.9mm, or 31.6mm.
To check your size, remove your current seat post and look for the measurements inscribed on your existing seat post.
Will it fit my exercise bike?
Most exercise bikes use proprietary mounting systems. The vabsRider requires a standard bicycle seat post (specs above) and the post cannot be modified. We know there is a market for comfort in indoor cycling and we are exploring vabsRider models for fitness equipment. Stay tuned!
Can the width of the seats be adjusted?
Yes, the standard width between the seat pads is 50mm. Every vabsRider comes with 2 x 10mm seat spacers, allowing you to increase the gap to 70mm. Video instructions will be available soon.
Can a dropper post be used?
Currently, the vabsRider is not compatible with dropper posts. Because our unique Virtual Axis technology is integrated directly into its own dedicated seat post, it cannot be mounted to an existing dropper system. We do not recommend attempting to dismantle or modify a dropper post to fit the vabsRider as this is a complex process that may void your bike's warranty.
Does it work with suspension seat posts?
No. The vabsRider is designed to replace the need for suspension through its dynamic movement and pressure distribution. It must be installed on a standard rigid post.
What is the weight limit?
The vabsRider has a weight limit of 100kg (220lbs), aligned with ISO safety and performance standards.
I have a specific medical condition. Is it safe for me?
While the vabsRider is engineered to reduce pressure by up to 80%, we have not conducted clinical trials for specific medical conditions. We recommend consulting your doctor before riding.
Is there an anti-theft device?
No built-in device, but the rails are compatible with standard cable locks. You can easily loop a cable through the vabsRider rails and your bike frame for security.

What is the warranty period?
We offer a 12-month warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship, commencing from the date of delivery.
How can I buy a vabsRider?
You can pre-order the vabsRider via our Shopify store. Click the "Pre-Order" button on our website to secure your unit.
What is the price and when will I be charged?
You can view the price of the vabsRider at our online store. You will be charged the unit price when you pre-order. Shipping and taxes will be calculated based on your location and will be charged closer to the time of shipping to ensure we’re providing the most competitive and accurate rates.
What payment methods can I use?
You can use any debit or credit card associated with Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
How does shipping and taxes work?
Shipping and taxes are calculated by our logistics partners based on your location. This enables us to provide the most accurate and competitive rates.
When will I receive my order?
We are currently finalising preparations for our first manufacturing run with shipping expected to be in the second half of 2026.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide.
